The slow, steady drip
Of water
Falling from the tower above

Tap... Tap... Tap...
Keeping pace with my heart
The only sound
In the vast stillness

Tap... Tap... Tap...
There is nothing else
No sound, no movement
Just me

If I ever feel up
If I ever feel down
I can just listen inside
For that steady tap... tap...
