The God's Missing Weapon

The God's missing weapon
It was 1345 BC and one of the Gods of Olympus was angry. "Where's my mace!" Boomed
Felix. Felix's mace was no ordinary mace. When Felix desired, his mace would set on fire
and he was able to shoot fireballs from it. It would also come back to him. Felix was the
God of Fire and when he was angry he was really angry. Now that Felix had lost his mace,
all the volcanoes on earth were exploding with lava and the people of earth feared that if
Felix didn't find his mace, their world would be destroyed! At that very moment on earth a
brave warrior walked into the town square and everyone crowded around him. A voice
from the back of the crowd shouted, "Hey, who's this guy?" Then the warrior spoke in a
confident voice, "Hello I am Patrick a warrior, I have conquered armies, battled monsters
but this will be the most difficult task I have ever faced."
Then he stopped, looked at the crowd and looked up in the sky at the tallest mountain. He
pointed at it, then he said softly "In order to keep this world alive, I must climb that
mountain, get gear from the Gods and go, go find Felix's mace and bring it back to him."
Then he left and nobody made a sound until he was out of sight.
Patrick looked at the mountain and said to himself "That's where I have to go" and he kept
on walking. On the way he saw a dwarf with what appeared to be a walking stick, then
Patrick looked away and looked back and he was nowhere to be seen. "That's weird" he
thought and he kept on walking. Also on the way he heard a fluttering sound and when he
looked up there were two small green creatures with wings. "Woah!" he said, "what are
you? "We're pixies" said the creatures "and we can help you." "Well" said Felix "don't keep
me waiting, hurry up." The pixies said firmly "never attack anything whether they're trying
to kill you or not!" "Goodbye" said Patrick and he left.
As it started to get dark Patrick decided to set up for the night. Just as he was about to go
to bed he heard a noise in the bushes and straight away he drew his sword from Its case
and brought it in front of him. However just then he remembered what the pixies said and
he put his sword back holding his bare hands in front of him. Then as quick as a flash the
animal in the bush ran away before Patrick could even see what it was. "I better be careful
there are dangerous animals on this mountain." Said Patrick to himself.
When he woke up in the morning he packed up and kept on moving. He'd been walking for
hours when finally he came to a big door and when he walked in Felix was already holding
his mace.
