Terry's Terrible Mystery

"HELP!" "HELP!" I was running towards the sound of a blood curdling yell but the sand seeping through my toes was not helping me run any faster. I had reached my brother Dan and he was strapped to a rock with chains all around him. Someone stood beside him with a machete and was threatening to cut him. The man was not yet aware of my presence, Dan was. We have both lived in the same house for the 14 years of our life, when we were little we used to practice signals if a "bad guy" captured us. I was hoping he still remembered because they would come in handy right now. I signaled Dan to loosen the top left shackle because it looked like the weakest one. His right hand was free! The guy with the machete was just coming back from where ever he went and Dan still had 3 shackles to get out of! Dan was trying his hardest to undo his other hand but I could tell he was struggling. He had now released the shackle holding his right leg but the guy with the machete was fast approaching. His left leg was now loose! The guy with the machete was only one little sharp corner away from where Dan was located with only one shackle to go. He had just struggled his way out of the last shackle when the guy with the machete turned the corner. Dan was free! A burst of relief had been risen from within me. Right after I realized he was being chased! I grabbed him and role him to run as fast as he can for as long as he can considering the circumstances of how much energy he had left, we were less than ten meters away from the villain but he was gaining on us. Every door that we passed through made me felt closer to freedom. I couldn't remember how many rooms there was until we finally found our way out, but we managed to make our way out anyway. We were still a long way away from out house, or even the nearest person. I thought we were out of trouble but when I looked behind someone had just appeared out of the building that we had just escaped. Instead of running this time we started to walk, Dan was struggling to even keep his feet. I suddenly felt an urge to stop aswell, Dan had been resting on my shoulders ever since we stopped running. After about an hour of walking dark clouds started rolling into the deep gloomy sky. We had seemed to of got away from the guy that was chasing us but, that wasn't our problem anymore. I could tell Dan was hurt but he just kept going, the rain started as big strong gushes of wind passed through the air. Not long after we found out neiborhood and our house, we were home. Finaly
