A Feathered Perspective

Sometimes I wonder what life would be like,
what life would be like as a bird.
To have wings instead of arms and hands,
And to have feathers, but no voice to be heard.
I would do many things if I lived like this,
I’d soar high in the sky.
I would dip and dive and spin a little,
Higher and higher I’d fly.
Life with wings would be bliss,
but there are many things I’d go without.
Like friends and a voice to say my opinions,
I’d need them without a doubt.
But still I wonder what life would be like,
what life would be like as a bird.
To have wings instead of arms and hands,
And to have feathers, but no voice to be heard.
