My best friend
That one person who sits and just listens,
Who doesn’t laugh at other peoples visions.
Whenever someone’s secret is revealed,
Everyone knows that your mouth will always be sealed
You’re someone everyone can trust
And somehow can sort out all the fuss
Throughout the years you have your ups and downs
But seem to forget your own problems
To turn someone else’s frown the right way round.
You have a beautiful soul
And hold the most important role
You are my best friend
The one who will be there til the end
We will look at each other when we are grey and old
And look back on all those stories we’ve told
You are my rock, my pillow my all
You are the one person who will pick me up when I fall
I love you now I always will
Decades pass but still
No matter how far apart we are
You will always remain in my heart.
