Maddy’s Magnificent Ice-cream

One day the ice-cream man drove down Maddy’s street. “Ice-cream.” she yelled. “ice-cream.” Ice-cream was Maddy’s favourite thing in the whole world (next to herself of course). So she grabbed her purse and ran outside to buy some ice-cream. “Mmm, this ice-cream looks delicious, wait no I want this one, wait no I want the chocolate one, wait no I want the bubble gum ice-cream. I can’t decide they all look so good. Wow.” She said. “This ice-cream is amazing.” This was the biggest ice-cream Maddy had seen in the whole world! It was so many ice-creams put into one. There was chocolate, chocolate chip, bubble gum, treasure trove and lots more. There were also lots of different toppings such as strawberry, chocolate, caramel, m & m’s, smarties, chocolate chips and so many more. Maddy was so desperate to buy it but she didn’t have enough money. Maddy needed to think of an idea, but she couldn’t. All she could think about was that gianormous, scrumptious looking ice-cream. She needed an idea, and quick. Maddy thought for a while. “I know” she said to herself. “I can do extra chores”. So Maddy got to work. She washed the dishes, vacuumed the house, cleaned her room, ironed and mowed the lawn. It took ages. When she was finished she walked to her Grandma’s house and asked her Grandma if she had any chores for her to do. Grandma didn’t have too much for Maddy to do, she just had to rake the leaves up and feed the chickens. When she had finished doing her chores for Grandma she had all the money she needed, all she had to do now was wait for the ice-cream man to come again. Maddy waited and waited and waited. Finally she could hear the bells on the ice-cream truck in the distance. As the bells got louder and louder, Maddy got more and more excited. Finally the ice-cream truck came down her street. Maddy grabbed her purse and ran outside to buy the gianormous, scrumptious ice-cream, but then she saw an even bigger ice-cream. It was the same as the one she had been saving her money for except it had one extra topping. Maddy didn’t like the extra topping so she just bought the one that she had wanted all along. A few days later, Maddy found out that the ice-cream business was shutting down. Maddy asked her mum if she could buy all their ice-cream
