Game Day

Hot day weather fine,
Rushing car, will I get there on time.
Warming up, stretching muscles,
Jogging back and forth, kicking high.
Get the jersey on, tape the sleeves,
Don’t forget the head gear and the mouth guard.
Whistle blows, run on the field,
Feeling nervous, line it up.
Stop that kid, pump my legs,
Tackle hard, get the ball.
Talk it up, stay in position,
Working hard, passing the ball down.
Flags are flying, the line is so close,
Dive for the line, score the try.
Kick the goal, win the game,
Football is such a great game.
