Dead and dying soldiers lay writhing in excruciating pain
Festering disease and vermin thrive within the presence of death
A grieving soldier sits alone motionlessly in the mud
Among the remaining rubble and ruins of the bloody battleground
That has claimed so many souls
Poisoned by the sickness of war
Wounded soldiers frantic cries for help echo throughout the life-stricken war zone
War is the cold Black Death that plagues the world
Like an incurable sickness that
Feeds from the fear and fury of forgotten men
