Rain

The rain is heavy in the night
It’s hard to fall asleep tonight
The drops are loud landing on the rooftop
I just wish they would lightly drop
There’s a storm coming
I know it will be drumming
I just want to rest my head
In my comfy warm bed
The storm is now here
I can hear it in my ear
It’s so loud outside
I really want to hide
Under my blanket to stay out of harm
I hope the storm doesn’t make an alarm
The storm has passed
I can fall asleep at last
