Holiday Tales

“Arrrhhwwoooo!” the sounds of wild dingos made us jump, as we parked in the car park to walk around Kings Canyon.
With an eerie feeling in our bellies, we jumped out of the car and looked across the canyon to see a pack of wild white dingos. They were howling on the other side of the canyon.
“Arrrhhwwoooo!”
We were so excited to be at such a beautiful place and see such awesome native Australian animals.
We jumped out of our car and put on our insect repellent and sun screen, grabbed our hats and headed off for our walk.
The start of the walk was really steep and there were lots of rock steps that we had to climb up.
Brooke said to us “Holy Moly! This is steep walking ha, guys!”
Mum, Dad, Maddison, Brooke and I started the walk around the canyon. It was so hot and sweet was dripping down from our foreheads. We had to walk up and done what felt like thousands of stairs to get to the other side, but when we got there, it was the most beautiful place I had ever seen in my life.
It was worth the steep, rocky walk! We enjoyed being there until I realised we had to turn around and redo the steep, rocky walk back!
“Oh well” I said, “It’s worth the pain!”
