The sun shines brightly into the house
I blink against the harsh light
I think I’ll go back to sleep
I walk to my food bowl
Same old food
Nothing ever changes
Outside the air is crisp and fresh
The grass is wet underfoot
Mud clings to my fur
And I leave a trail of mud through the house
The garbage truck comes
Go away!
They don’t listen
The sun starts to set on the fields and meadows
Opening my jaws in a huge yawn I pad over to my bed
Closing my eyes I drift into sleep.
