It was raining and dark outside. There was a wooden house with two windows on it. Inside the house there was a boy who was carving a bird out of wood.
His dad came in holding a cake and said “Happy birthday lad.”
The boy said “Oh thanks Dad.”
Dad said “Come on make a wish.”
The boy said “A wish? I can’t choose a wish because I can’t think of one”. After a moment’s silence the boy jumped up and said “I’ve got one.” The boy said “I wish my face was normal. I don’t want a bump on my head.” And then he blew out the candle.
After that he ate the cake and he gave his dad a piece of cake too. Dad said “Thank you, son.” Dad said now its bed time”. So the boy went to sleep. The boy couldn’t sleep unless his dad told him a story.
So dad read him a story about ducks. His dad said “Once upon a time there was a father duck and a mother duck”. The boy went to sleep while dad was still reading.
In the morning, dad woke up and looked at his son. When he saw his son’s face, it was normal. So he woke his son up and said “Son, your face”. Then the boy looked in the mirror and said “My face is normal.” He wish had come true.
