On this night, monsters will roam the streets,
Gruesome goblins, ghouls and witches as well,
Boys draped in sheets, asking for tricks or treats.
Little girls with fairy wings, looking swell.
Dark descends - a stealthy bird of the night,
Then lights turn on, voices break the quiet,
Costumes and decor that give you a fright,
A lot of people breaking their diets.
But, few will hide on this festive occasion.
Quivering under their tables and beds,
To come out they will need some persuasion,
For this time of year, is the part they dread.
So get all dressed up, and your sweets ready,
Or hide somewhere, with your special teddy.
