A Freezing Night Was When A Monster Appeared

It was a horrible monster which glared at me in the darkness that shrouded the place,
I was tired already when I realised this as a gust of cold air breezed past my face,
I slowly backed away hoping it would go away but it was going to stay so I wished I had a mace,
However it suddenly disappeared in the silhouette of night without leaving a trace.
I scanned the area not for my safety but for my treasure I cleverly hid,
I thought about it again and again and I realised what it did,
It stole my precious item like I was a helpless little kid,
I cried in despair as loudly as a bear in the land of the arid.
I fell back to my slumber in a very irritated state,
My eyes were going to burst at this big stormy rate,
I thought and thought and then I found a key to the gate,
While I was at that icy fridge I saw my sister, Kate.
