Tall, thin, white man
Travels to a foreign land,
Across the sea for months and days
Bringing with him white man ways.
When they landed on the sand
They explored this great, dry land
They saw the people living there
But they didn’t want to know or care.
Two hundred years have passed since then,
But this doesn’t have a happy end,
Kids were taken from their homes,
Placed with others, not their own.
The hurt and pain across the years,
Still leaves scars, still leaves tears.
