Rainbows And Butterflies

There was a time when all was well
The world as a whole
To me did seem
Like there were no worries
The tranquillity of a dream
We all belonged
No matter our age, colour, race or gender
All rainbows and butterflies
Now I am older
More experienced and exposed
It is not now as it had been before
I've seen the discrimination
The inequality and foul behaviour of the human race
The things I have now seen I can see no more
Blinded by the sorrow of thousands
No more rainbows and butterflies
