Walking through the fallen men
I never thought I’d walk again
Solemn tributes in the ground
Lead to where my friends are found
Through the streets, they’re cold and dark
Through the playground, through the park
Over the bridge, the river’s mute
The darkness thick and absolute
In the sky, the stars shine bright
But don’t illuminate the night
The moon gives off a haunting glow
Across the silent town below
There is no daytime anymore
Cursed to roam forever more
Eternal night, a black abyss
Void of sound, of life and bliss
