A Friend

My friend thinks you have a serious problem.
Might I also add her name is depression.
Depression my friend will rock you to sleep, only then to haunt you until you weep.
She will be there when you open your eyes, and not wait long before giving you a surprise.
She walks along with you all day, and whispers to people to stay away.
Maybe that's why she thinks you have a serious problem.
For you don't have a friend like her.
Occasionally I fall envious of those who don't see her eyes.
But she is right by my side to remind me other wise.
Sometimes when life isn’t fair to me, I realise why she came to be.
Without her, I would be alone, all alone when the blade hits the bone.
She tells me to befriend the pain and not fear it, for it would be harder to end it
She gives me advice that I shall take with care, keep hurting princess only when no one is there.
