We are mysterious creatures.
Peace in a land we don’t belong.
Harmony in a place we believe we own.
“Save the trees!” They said.
But build your homes, with the strongest metal instead.
Mine your earth, our earth, pluck it from its roots.
Send your soldiers into battle, make children your army.
Use your words, your voice, as your families take refuge.
As countries we choose the loudest,
To represent us, to blame our troubles on,
Yet those with true complication,
We send away. Refuse them to our nation.
“Save the trees!” they said, as our own people fall to waste.
We are mysterious creatures.
Creatures who throw the world to wreck,
Creatures who don’t belong.
