Bang! Bang!
The shots echoed in the air, all the Aussies wishing that they weren't there.
I ran at speed through the reeds, my mate just fell dead.
I had to get out, but there were enemies all about.
Then I heard the footsteps of a Nazi, so I aimed my gun, the silver sparkling in the sun.
I pulled the trigger shot him in the back.
Then went to make sure he was dead by giving him a wack.
But then oh then some guns rang out followed by a Nazi's shout, saying '' Get him then shoot him and pull his guts out''.
So I took my life to save me from strife.
I said ''goodbye my life God please be with my wife'' this was the horrific end to my life.
