A Fearless Man

A fearless man was born between two world wars,
He felt as rich as a fair Prince,
Until the war washed his wealth away in a rinse,
When he became fourteen, things became worse,
He grew ill and couldn't say a word,
Unexpectedly, he was given a second chance,
So he would celebrate with a joyful dance,
He was married at first sight,
Grew strong and never had a fright,
His family soon grew too,
They became a close-knit crew,
He stayed strong, like a stable rock,
For ninety years, he stood proud and tall,
Until his final fall,
He was my brave, great grandfather after all.
