There’s a radiant light,
behind those weary eyes;
a ray of sunshine, beaming bright
underneath your distressed guise;
behind your mask of shadows;
is a shattered, glacial soul;
amongst a sea of rainbows,
hides an infinite black hole;
and often you wake,
in the dead of night;
briny tears run down your cheek,
demons cause you lifelong fright:
you see yourself as a hideous freak;
questioning why I don’t flee?,
suggesting that I just depart;
I stay nearby because I see:
A glimmer, of hope in your heart
