I am emotional and curious
I wonder if I can make my own path
I hear booming and it’s way too hectic
I see a shadow run by
I want to say that it was mine
I am emotional and curious.

I pretend that I didn’t see it
I feel the wind pass by, and that wasn’t good
I touch my heart, feeling it race
I worry that it wasn’t beating at the right pace
I cry to think that someone was here
I am emotional and curious.

I understand if it was a ghost
I say “Who’s there?”, but no reply
I dream about this shadow every night
I am emotional and curious.
