I am scared and brave
I wonder when this is going to end
I hear the thunder and soldiers cry
I want to get out alive
I am scared and brave

I pretend I am anywhere but here
I feel the ground shake
I worry about all the relatives tonight
I cry for a needed miracle
I am scared and brave

I understand that this is the end
I say there goes our future
I dream about the future I’ll never have
I try to make it out alive
I hope tomorrow comes
I am scared and brave
