The very essence you had only known,
‘twas but an endless dusk waiting ‘till dawn.
You floated in this silence, all alone,
while he moulded you into my sweet fawn.
Abruptly the light pervaded your eyes,
and you felt your heart beat for the very first time.
Your life, begun at your mother’s demise,
and you, asleep to a nursery rhyme.
The years go by, as you grow, and you learn,
you spread your young wings and fly, as a dove.
I taught you that in life you must earn,
earn the right to dream, to live and to love.
“It’s only us now, my darling small one,
my fawn, my child, my dove and my son.”
