Pain & sadness

A scared look upon her face, she looked death in the eye.
She saw it’s vengeful glance, I thought she was going to die.
Why did this have to happen to her? She was only twelve years old.
She didn’t deserve this pain, a pain that was sharp and cold.

The pain she will never forget of her heart breaking.
Of the day she sat crying while her body was shaking.
The sighing of her heart, the pounding of her chest.
While she thought maybe it was all an elaborate test.

The shattering noise of her heart echoing in her mind.
That dreadful noise was agonizing but silence was hard to find.
Sadness and sorrow filled her head sinuously floating around.
Despite all the horrid thoughts she had peace was once again found.

She didn’t deserve the betrayal, the rejection and the sadness.
When she loved him so much, now her world is full of madness.
One day it will go back the same, just like it use to be.
But now she’s still wondering how come he didn’t love me?
