I feel like I’m drowning,
In an ocean of sorrow.
Each wave weakening me,
Striking me like a blanket of exhaustion.
In no time,
My lungs will overflow with misery.
And like an anchor, I will be dragged to the ocean floor,
Joined by the heartbroken and the woeful.
Like a sunken ship,
I shall lay, shivering.
On the ocean floor,
Where I will rest.
Until one day, when my mind will reinforce,
And my gills appear.
That is when I shall clasp my first breath,
And swim back to shore.
