My camera can't capture the sunset;
A vivid flushed mural decorating a
Bright willing canvas
Yet there's a designated mode for this very
Purpose. So cursing its weakness,
I fiddle with the settings.
When I lower the viewfinder,
The sun has sunk below the hill.
Dusk, only mere wisps remain.
If only the camera worked as advertised-
If only I had given up sooner.
If only I had lived in the moment.
