A Fight For A Friend

How can I make you understand?
Whilst a life with you was never planned,
I'd risk every moment I cherished with you,
And have our little petty fights, like we used to.
Playful moments, funny ones too,
And the lessons we spent of just me and you.
Losing you was like losing a part of my soul,
You were my family, my friend and what made me whole.
I told you I love you, but neither one could see,
That this love was mutual, yet important for me.
Thy dearest friend and thou dearest mate,
Helped me see a purposeful fate,
But without thee, tears shall fall,
For my friend, my family, hear not of my call.
