Easter On The Farm

Hello my name is James and I am going to our farm for Easter which is when we celebrate the death of Jesus. We also eat Easter eggs made out of chocolate. We are at the farm to celebrate Easter with my family which includes Mum and Dad, also my brother George, my sister Bella and my Nan and Pop. Also heaps of my cousins including Jake, Conner, Maxx and two babies named Henry and Issie and Aunty Mia, Ruby, also uncle Jim and uncle Bill. We aren’t sleeping at the farm we’re sleeping at The Big Hole. It is a water hole and that’s it’s nickname. We will be sleeping in tents which is cool.

At the farm there are heaps of sheep so there’s poo and a shearing shed that we play in and have a good time. It’s awesome that we can sleepover on the banks of The Big Hole. When we arrived at The Big Hole we put up our tents and I played with Jake and made grass huts.

When it starts getting dark we light a fire and play games like spotlight when we spot people with torches and we also play with glow sticks. It’s so much fun until we go to bed and then I get unhappy that I can’t stay up.

I finally get to sleep then I get woken up by the mums and dads saying “fire”. I get out of the tent and there’s a bad smell it’s smoke. Then I see a fire. My mum and dad make me to go by packing my bag and putting my tent in the car.Then the cars start going with all the kids and babies.The men stay to fight the fire.Then I realise that I’m left here with my dad and my uncles and pops .Then they call the fire brigade and they arrived really quick to fight the fire. My dad gets the weird fire hose thing that’s on the old car with my uncle. My uncle is now driving while my dad squirts the fire out on the back of the car.They are trying to protect the farm house and the shearing shed they also make me wait in the car so if the fire gets out of control they can get me out quickly

They fought the fire for most of the day and night then finally they put it out so we go to my nan’s house. I got in big trouble for not being in the car quick enough but they said at least your safe and were done with that fire. I’m am so happy and we partied for a long time.
