It was quiet,
Empty roads, houses and streets.
Humans in their deep endless slumber,
With their animal companies guarding the premises,
Waiting to attack intruders.
Street lights violently twitching like an exposed eye.
Stray cats scavenging through filthy garbage bins.
Unsettled teenagers destructively vandalising,
ANYTHING they can get their ‘’artistic’’ art on.
The only thing in sight,
Is the 24 hour general store,
Gleaming in the uncomforting lighting
With faded advertising signs in the unsanitized windows
The world seems at peace,
But is it really?
It was quiet...
