Corona virus, first found December,
In Wu Han province it lit up an ember.
This spark burned quick, spreading through China,
Up until then it had seemed only minor.
Soon it was burning all over the world,
This was a pandemic, fully unfurled.
A cough and a fever, the symptoms you’ll get,
The respiratory system, it’s prime target.
From the old to the young this virus does mar,
COVID-19 doesn’t care who you are.
All may look lost, the situation dire,
But there was still hope to put out this fire.
Hand washing, distancing, stopping the spread,
Not going out, staying at home instead.
All of these strategies to save a life,
United to end this Corona strife.
