When a bus rusts is it retired or dead?

A bus that is rusted is truly
A sad sad sight

Why?

Because buses are so big,
And surely must take a
Very, very long time to rust.

What is even sadder
Is that in the long time
buses spend rusting
Nobody even thinks to help them.

I would not like to be a bus.
Because if I ever rust,

I don’t want to be alone.
