I started dreading school, wishing holidays were longer.
The world's response was cruel, releasing an absolute monster.
A virus broke out, started spreading through all the countries.
New rules came about, it's worse than any other disease.
This pandemic has been the result of many devastating deaths .
Family members couldn't even be there during those last breaths.
Now it's constantly on the news, always strict new rules and laws.
They introduced a vaccine, yet we still don’t even know the virus’ cause.
Schools were closed, we all did our work from home.
Instead of our textbooks, we used Teams and Google Chrome.
They cancelled our celebrations, we couldn’t go anywhere.
We still can't have a vacation, it's all just so unfair.
We hid our devastations as we sat in front of the TV.
We watched all the press conferences wondering when we’ll be free.
Hopefully the coronavirus would one day go away.
But for now, we just sit, and we wish, and we pray.
