Can You Hear Me Scream?

Depressed walls slowly close in; Hospital bed sucks me under,
My heart beats with anger like restless thunder.
Can you hear me scream?
The chemo started yesterday; Am I really dying?
If only I could spread my wings and be flying.
Can you hear me scream?
I wake up to opening doors; My mind throbs,
I grasp the edge of the bed as my mother sobs,
Can you hear me scream?
No more joy; now only pain,
Will my life ever be the same?
Can you hear me scream?
My vision blurs; As I shriek from the delusion,
But no one can give me a clear conclusion,
No one can hear me scream.
