A flutter of global calamity,
Abstract but in fact reality,
An anarchy world, full of displacement,
We were locked, yet so free.
Visiting seemingly grey, yet neoteric memories,
How the times have changed like the moon’s wanes and the sea’s tides.
Ever frequent casualties, reminds me of war,
A tragedy we’ve never seen before, an invisible enemy.
Masks hide expressions, yet it is clear everyone is broody,
Yet as we navigate the new normal,
A realization materializes upon us, sudden as a meteor's descent,
What is this? Novel, uncomfortable feelings creep upon us.
We begin to question ourselves,
Am I deranged? Crazed? insane? Constant scrutinization on health.
Slowly, ever so slowly, slow as cold molasses,
We begin to adapt, accept, aspire, and finally, a fortuitous change.
