You took my hand softly
staring into my eyes
The soft glow of your dark eyes stared back in comfort
Moving gracefully to the music, the cool breeze kissed my legs softly as I spun
Like always you followed behind, always following
The sky was full of bright stars twinkling over us and the grass was wet with dew, dampening the hem of my gown
Our feet danced on the fresh ground, the soft whispers of comfort sheltering us from the cold
I knew that I had fallen in love
In love so deep that I never wanted this moment to stop, you have truly managed to see me, and you won't leave
It was cruel
It was cruel the way I relied on you for comfort
It was cruel the way without you, I felt alone
It was cruel because what if I never get over you
It was cruel that I found comfort in being sad
But most of all it is cruel that I rely on you, my depression to feel safe
