Walking down the sidewalk,
People stop, stare and talk,
I’m wearing my new sneakers,
Their voices so loud, just like speakers
Who knew that a pair of shoes could impress,
Looking down at them they’re pretty cool I must confess,
Strolling through the park,
The shoes are so bright they light up the dark.
People start saying that I am such a showoff,
But those people just make me cough.
Most people think I am pretty cool,
Yet, others think I am a fool.
I am a soldier following the orders from my shoes,
So breathtaking, my shoes should be on the news,
My shoelace undone, I get into a muddle,
Squelch! I have stepped into a puddle.
