Where Is Daddy Chip?

On a stormy night, when the wind was howling, Lulu Chip was not happy.
She was lonely and scared, where was Daddy?
He had left the pantry to explore,
And Lulu had a pang of worry she could not ignore.
Where was Daddy Chip?
From the highest shelf in the pantry, Lulu jumped,
And landed on the kitchen bench with a thump.
Now the rain was hail and thunder,
“Where’s Daddy?” Lulu Chip wondered.
From under the kitchen bench came an “Oy”,
Which sent through Lulu thrilling joy,
Out came Daddy’s head with its warm and salty eyes
And here we are now where Daddy Chip smiles,
“I’m sorry I left so late in the night”
“But now that we’re together, everything’s alright.”
