Sometimes
As I gaze up into the black
Shadowed by outlines of swooping birds
Diamond-white stars drifting in ethereal song
My face an echo of a pale moon
Sinking sadly to the west in a pearly outline
And I stare at the sky
And I wonder
If I too could be a star
