On the streets of Sydney,
Where the roaring cars go by,
With his backpack and his sleeping bag,
He gazes sadly at the sky.
He is sick and poor and starving,
So he breaks in to some shops,
He manages to steel some money,
But he gets caught by the cops.
The cops take him to jail,
He is sentenced for life,
He knows he is in trouble,
He knows he is in strife.
He sits in his lonely jail cell,
In darkness and in light,
He dies in that lonely jail cell,
Later on that night
