A girl looks back on a past tattered
By drugs, abuse, and lies.
The things she did shattered
A piece of glass that was her life.
Salty water pricked her eyes.
Then the tears rolled down
To form the glass she despised
And reflect her departed mistakes.
Reparation pair was neverending.
Apologies were made
But left depending
On how deeply the glass had cut.
The advice she gives now
To people that ask
Is never ruin your life, no matter how
Water distorts decisions that break glass.
