Unappreciative

It creeps upon you, like a thief in the night
If fills you with such wholesome delight
The feeling’s strong, but you’re still in denial
Even though you’re picturing yourself walking down that aisle
You’re probably thinking that they’re the one
While they’re having lots of fun
Laughing with their mates about you
He doesn’t love you, I’m sorry, it’s true
But how, you ask, could he be so cruel?
Making you out to be a fool
Making you always feel like crying
And sometimes even feeling like dying
Well I have good news, he will change
When he is finally a man, he should not be so strange
And when he is ready himself to experience this sensation,
That God graciously showed to all his creation
He should finally learn
To appreciate your love.
