Sadness In Her Eyes

Seeing who she is, feeling what she feels.
People tricked by her smile, looking unbelievable real.
Hiding behind her smile, using it as her disguise.
Looking straight through it, seeing sadness in her eyes.
Her heart becoming weak, mixed emotions combined.
Protecting her heart, protecting it with her mind.
Telling her heart different, I can hear its silent cries.
Fighting through its shield, still seeing sadness in her eyes.
Crying for help, me being the only one can hear.
People still seeing a smile, I can see the tears.
Feelings of happiness, stages of lows and highs.
Not knowing what to feel, forever sadness in her eyes.
As she lay awake quietly, staring through the dark
Sudden pain in her wrist, accompanied by a mark.
Cheating her heart, unable to defeat her own lies.
She lay without breathe, with no more sadness in her eyes.
