Rare Beauty

It is a rosy pink colour but has streaks of violet and purple through it. Around the edges it is pure, snowy white and the colours all seem to flow together, mimicking the sunset. Underneath, the edges are dark purple but the colours get paler as they get closer to the bottom.

It feels smooth, glossy and polished, but around the edges it is chipped and rough in places.

Light shimmers and sparkles on its front but when I turn it over, drops of water gleam and glisten on its surface.

It stood out as the only colours on top of a pile of black rocks and pebbles, found on the warm, soft sand.

It is one of my favourite shells.
