I Am
I am a pursuer of dreams, though an expert procrastinator
I wonder what God has in store for me
I am a solitary sapling, dwarfed in a magnificent forest
I want to be accepted for who I am, nothing more
I am a pursuer of dreams, though an expert procrastinator
I pretend to be strong and unbreakable
I feel alone as darkness overtakes my being
I worry that I am not good enough
I cry for the children on African plains, alone and starving
I am a pursuer of dreams, though an expert procrastinator
I understand the hunger for love, inside each of us
I say that a friend stands by you always, no matter what
I believe that someday I will live in a land of peace and harmony
I try to fulfill my purpose on this Earth
I hope to find that most important thing
Though procrastination pursues me, my dreams shall with ease outrun it
