A Heavenly Touch

Do you see God in a baby’s smile?
So sweet and innocent of everything vile.
Or do you see God in the rainbow skies,
As the glowing sun sets or begins to rise?
In a Mother’s touch, do you feel Him?
In those loving arms that tuck you in?
Or do you feel Him when rain breaks the drought?
Drenching your skin and making crops sprout.
Do you hear God in the roar of wind or the song of a bird?
Where His power and greatness are clearly heard?
Or do you hear Him in the cicada’s song?
As they chirp merrily all day and night long.
If you don’t, I know I can,
And I want to try again and again,
To hear His voice and feel His touch
And to know He loves me very much!
