Bush Fire Poem
Dried and brown it starts,
Ruby red it flickers,
Taking hold it grows and grows,
Blackening all its victims.
Raging on and on, the Dragon was set loose,
Reeking of it's smoky breath,
It seeks out all that’s left,
Roaring, as it runs.
Screaming as the Dragon hunts,
The animals run and flee,
Bursting into flight, they scatter in the leaves,
Finding paths of safety, most do get away,
But others don’t, and then they are it's prey.
