Fireworks boom in the distance
Everyone cheers and laughs,
Except for me;
A surly and dilapidated man.
I am remote from others.
Isolated
I gaze at the vivid stars
Illuminating the dreary skies.
Thinking of my wasted youth, I sigh heavily
In desperation and regret.
I am deprived of companions,
And I don't know what friendship is?
I never had any friends,
And never will.
