We work every day
And strive every night
Making sure we get paid
Try avoiding the plights

Hours turn to days
And days turn to months
Time for loved ones delayed
And neglected is our fun

We’ve no time to spare
Nor a social life
We continue to stare
At the face of our strife

Can’t spend a mere second
With family and friends
By the time we wanna bond
Our relationships end…
